The true Victoria Cross has been awarded only 11 times since 1945 (the last two times being in the Falklands War in 1982). This is the highest level award that a member may earn. This award is meant to distinguish someone as being one of the best in the history of our team. These individuals are held up as the example for others to aspire to. It is an extreme honor to be awarded the Victoria Cross.

2. displays uncommon leadership and moral values
3. capable of acheiving team goals in the face of adversity through extraordinary personal effort, sacrifice, leadership or all of the above

1. having a primary role in the development of 5 Recruits who successfully complete the Selection Course
2. discovering a new PR and taking on the role of mentor with the end result being successful completion of the Selection Course
3. participating in a "successful" Live Op where mission objectives were acheived

History
The Mention in Despatches is the oldest form of recognition of gallantry within the UK Armed Forces. Since 1993, the Mention in Despatches has been reserved for gallantry during active operations.
 
Awarded for:
1. exceptional and regular use of established tactics or SOPs
2. advancement or refinement of a tactic or SOP that is adopted for general use
3. achieving the rank of Cpl, SSgt, SSM, RSM, or becoming a certified EL (element leader)

The George Cross ranks with the Victoria Cross as the nation's highest award for gallantry, and was instituted in 1940 to recognise actions of supreme gallantry in circumstances for which the Victoria Cross was not appropriate. Thus, it may be awarded to civilians, as well as members of the Armed Forces for acts of gallantry not in the presence of the enemy, including, for example, military explosive ordnance disposal personnel. It was also famously awarded to the Island of Malta for its collective gallantry during the Second World War.

1. membership in excess of 1 yr
2. excelling at team related responsibilities
3. being the leader of a successful live operation that sustained less than 20% casualty rate and less than 50% injury rate
4. creating a "successful" live-op plan or scenario

Dates back to 1886, during the reign of Queen Victoria. The award is generally not given to officers below the rank of Captain. In terms of gallantry awards, The DSO ranks below the Victoria Cross and above the Military Cross, in order of precedence. It is almost always awarded for gallantry in action. There were 8,981 awards for the First World War.

2. notable contribution to the improvement of the team
3. exemplifying our code of honor and respecting team traditions
